Jacket - BMW Motorsport Textile (Mesh) Jacket
BMW Motorrad USA has teamed up with Kushitani, a premier
Japanese manufacturer of quality motorcycle racing gear, to create a line of
jackets for the S1000RR.
Kushitani has been designing race suits since 1947 and is
famous for creating some of the most technically advanced riding gear in the
world. The S1000RR BMW Motorrad USA Kushitani collection includes leather and
textile jackets. The jackets are offered in two color schemes, Motorsport and
Black. The Motorsport model matches the RR’s beautiful World Suprbike replica
colors.
BMW Kushitani jackets meet the high demands of BMW riders,
with excellent design, comfort, mobility and safety features. The S1000RR jackets
are only sold in the US.
The BMW Motorsport Textile (Mesh) Jacket is a nylon mesh
jacket in BMW Motorsport colors (white, blue, red) with black highlights, steel
main zipper and stretch Kevlar panels in sleeves, waist and back with a 100%
polyester inner lining.

- Features:
- The
Motorsport jacket has a more aggressive cut than the RR Jacket
in order to pull shoulders more forward. It has a tighter fit so
there is less flapping in the wind. It also features neo-prim on
the wrist to prevent pinching while wearing a full gantlet glove.
- Stretch Kevlar panel also in the neck area for more comfort in riding
position and less resistance in the neck while looking up. Collar with
inside neo-prim lining. Also Stretch Kevlar under armpit to prevent
pinching while in the forward leaning riding position.
- Stretch Kevlar for ventilation, wear comfort and safety.
- Light
summer jacket:
- Mesh nylon for maximum airflow. It assures wear comfort and great
ventilation.
- Additional steel ventilation zippers in the sleeves and shoulder
area.
- Sleeves and other impact areas come with double to triple stitching
for further safety and protection.
- BMW Motorrad NP protectors in the shoulders and elbows. Pocket for
retrofittable NP back protector in the back.
- Reflective piping for more visibility.
- Easy to combine with any pants – long connection zipper comes with
female part which can be sewn into any pants.
- Adjustable waist.
- Belt loop – for connecting to belt loop on pants.
- 2 outside pockets and 1 inside pocket.

- Rubberized BMW Roundels on both sleeves; large BMW lettering on chest
and on back
- BMW Motorrad Motorsport logotype on front of on sleeves
- Kushitani logotype on back of sleeves.
- Note:
- Jacket is cut to USA standard, although more form fitting then other
sport jackets on the market. This means a better fit with less chance
of armor rotation.
- The BMW Motorsport fabric jacket features a looser fit than the
BMW Motorsport leather jacket due to the nature of the mesh nylon.
