RCU Designs Sidestand Enlarger could be just what you need to avoid this situation! It's designed to take 8 degrees of lean away and return a more stable stance for your BMW R1200GS. The foot is machined from aircraft quality aluminum alloy and anodized black. It mounts by sliding over the existing sidestand foot and is secured with one screw.
