The sportbag-type closure of the main compartment makes it highly water-repellent. A spray-proof zip fastener provides access. The lid of the main compartment has practical inside and outside pockets with zip fasteners for access. The bottom is strong, preshaped and the softbag has a concealed aluminum retainer, so it can be firmly secured to the motorcycle. It comes complete with the requisite screws and a set of detailed instructions. This rear soft bag can be attached to the standard tail section or to the small BMW luggage carrier sold separately. Screws inside the softbag hold it in place - this means that the softbag filled complete with contents cannot be simply lifted off the motorcycle. The main zip fastener can be secured in the closed position with a luggage lock.
