Used on the rear wheel, it keeps the tire in place when decreasing the tire pressure for off-road use.

When you run reduced tire pressure with a bike that has this much horsepower, you stand a chance of spinning the tire on the rim.

The BMW Tire lock holds the tire in place on the rim so that all the that power gets put down to the ground where it belongs and not wasted on a rim spinning inside the tire.

Works by placing it inside the rim, installing the tire and then tightening the nut down on the threaded shaft which sticks out (like another valve stem) pinching the tire to the inside edge of the rim. There is already a provision to install this on your stock rim, opposite of the stock valve stem.
