Prevent the "weak link" in your K1200LT's Top Case from spoiling
your trip! There
is no replacement component or repair kit available from BMW for the
OEM latch on your LT's trunk. A new part is available only as part of
the lower trunk assembly, costing over $800, (not including labor).
After replacing the entire lower half of the trunk, you will still have a
trunk latch that is still just as susceptible to breakage as what you replaced!
This kit reinforces your bike's existing handle to prevent
this common failure.
