BMW Functional Socks and Long Socks

BMW Functional Socks and Long Socks are motorcycling socks in calf-length or knee-length made with functional, odor-resistant material with a high wool content. Their asymmetric design assures a good fit.

Features:
Elastic ribbing over front part of foot.
Padding where foot presses against shift lever.
Anatomic padding at ankle, heel and shin of long sock.
Ventilation channels worked into the fabric at bottom of foot.
Size worked into fabric at top on inside.
Suitable for motorcycling boot with membrane.
Logo:
BMW Motorrad logotype worked into the fabric.

Details:
Functional socks and long socks differ in length, material composition and color for wear in different temperature ranges. Both are suitable for wearing inside motorcycling boots with climate-balance membrane.
Long (knee-length) socks for riding on cool days:
High proportion of high-quality, soft merino wool keeps temperature well balanced, retaining plenty of heat; dark colors.
Material: 50% wool, 22% acrylic, 20% polypropylene, 6% polyamide, 2% elastan.
Color: Anthracite/black/blue.
Despite the proportion of cotton in the material the functional socks, they are also suitable for membranes, because cotton is deliberately used only in the shaft. When the wearer perspires there is virtually no moisture on the skin at these areas, so it's not necessary for the garment to transport moisture away from this area.
Functional (calf-length) socks for riding on warm days:
Lower proportion of wool, cooling cotton in some areas; light colors.
Material: 33% cotton, 33% wool, 22% polypropylene, 10% polyamide, 2% elastan.
Color: Light grey/black/mustard.

Both lengths are very easy-care; machine-washable.
