Auxiliary Power Fuse Panel - by Centech

If you want to install aftermarket electrical accessories such as auxiliary lights on your 2005-later BMW Motorcycle, you'll need a fuse panel. This is because late-model BMW motorcycles use a CAN-bus wiring system. That means you can't conveniently connect such accessories to your bike - there's no fuse panel to distribute the power!

The AP-2 fuse panel solves this problem. It's an auxiliary fuse panel that connects to your battery allowing you to power auxiliary items without damage to or interference with the CAN-bus system. The AP-2 is divided into two electrical sections. The main section contains three fuses and feeds five outputs while the second section has two fuses and three outputs. The advantage of having two sections is that the AP-2 allows you to have fused power available for devices which need constant battery power and for those which need to be switched "OFF" with the ignition key.*

The AP-2 can provide safe, fused power for up to eight individual electronic devices, including radio, GPS and other accessories - up to 60 amps - divided between the 40 amp and 20 amp sections.

Manufactured using only high quality materials such as plated contacts and stainless steel hardware, the water resistant AP-2 fuse panel will provide reliable service no matter your application. The AP-2 uses ATC type fuses that do not spark when blown while the built-in "grounding" system ensures that the electrical system works properly and safely at all times. Connections to the fuse panel are simple. The "lugless" terminal strips are easy to use; just strip off a bit of insulation from the wire and insert it into the opening under the retaining screw.
