NO THIRD THURSDAY CYCLE FEST TONIGHT
Hey Everyone,

We wanted to let you know that we're not going to have our Cycle Fests every third Thursday anymore. Instead, our events are going to rotate around, in an effort to allow everyone a chance to attend. But don't worry, we'll have just as many interesting events as we've always had and often more than one event per month. For example, since BMW is entering the World Super Bike Series this year on the S 1000 RR, and with Ducati racing in both WSB and the MotoGP series, (If you haven’t heard, A&S is now a Ducati dealer) we’re going to host every single race at the dealership. You’re invited to come and watch with friends and even participate in a 'Race Pool' that will cost you nothing, but you’ll be able to win prizes each week and huge prizes at the end of each series! (Stay tuned for specific details.)

Please check the calendar above for our full calendar for the year. Of course there may be a few events that pop-up here and there, so check back often, and be sure that you sign-up on our local e-mail list to receive reminders about upcoming events: http://www.ascycles.com/email_list_signups.aspx.

Recap of Ducati Open House
Fun was had by all this past Saturday at our first Ducati Open House. It was definitely a soft-launch for us, as we still have a lot of construction to undergo, and gear to arrive. However, the M1100 was here as promised and quite a few of you took her for a spin, and all of you came back with sore cheeks from the smiles on your faces. As always, Phil reincarnated a few bikes with his suspension-tuning talents and the line never seemed to get shorter. A special thanks to the Gold Country Dual Sport Riders for flipping burgers and grillin' dogs - in fact they were soooo yummy, we ate every last one!

Here's a really neat video Dan, an awesome customer of ours, compiled that's proof positive of just how much fun we had.

A&S Ducati Open House Jan. 10th

A&S DUCATI INVITES YOU TO THE MONSTER 1100 S NATIONAL PREMIERE WEEKEND
Saturday, January 10th

In typical A&S style, we're opening our doors for an open house that promises to be memorable. What's in store?

Aftershocks Suspension Phil Douglas:
Due to overwhelming demand, Phil will be here on-site to custom tune your bikes suspension to fit you and your unique riding style. Charging a reduced rate of only $20, you can't pass up this opportunity!

BBQ Lunch:
Our infamous barbeque lunch will be complementary once again. Bon appetite!

Bikes, Bikes and more Bikes:
Although we've just opened our Ducati doors, we have plenty of bikes on the floor!

Parts, Apparel and Accessories:
We're still getting ramped up in this area, but we'll have a sample of what you can expect in the weeks to come.

Debut of the Monster 1100 S
The bike that started the naked bike revolution has been reborn and is, once again, breaking all the rules. The new Monster weighs in at an astonishing 47lbs less than its closest class competitor and the power of its 1100cc air-cooled engine give it an impressive power-to-weight ratio. The M1100 S combines the carnal nakedness of the original Monster with the latest technology and styling. An icon of individuality, features like removable tank panels make the M1100 S the perfect platform for personalization.

Where:
A&S Ducati
1125 Orlando Avenue
Roseville, CA 95661

When:
Saturday, January 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For more information, please contact A&S Ducati at 800.689.9893.

OCTOBER CYCLE FEST: 10-16-2008
Hone Your Skills: Advanced Riding Techniques

October 16th Cycle Fest 6:30 p.m. -
Bill Cruz of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation will be teaching us the following skills: Quick Stop, Brake and Evade, Riding Posture for Cornering and Distance Perception for Braking. You’ll have a chance to practice all of these in our parking lot with Bill! As you know, with the rise in gas prices, we’re seeing more and more new and returning riders hitting the streets. This means a couple of things: Veteran riders are going to find themselves next to a brand-new rider, folks who used to be veterans might not want to admit their skills are a little rusty, and primarily – those veteran riders definitely don’t want to admit they might need to sharpen their skills. With that said, each and every one of us shouldn’t miss this opportunity to learn from Bill!

Help make the 2008 Sacramento Ride for Kids a success

We received this e-mail and thought some of you may like to help:

The kids need your help in Sacramento!

The Sacramento Ride for Kids® is on Sunday, Oct. 5, and we need your help to make it a great event for the kids. Volunteers are needed for a variety of day-of-event positions, including registration assistants and greeters. Most volunteers can also participate in the ride if they like.

All volunteers will receive a 2008 Sacramento Ride For Kids® event shirt to wear on Sunday morning. You don't need to be registered for the event to volunteer, but you must be at least 21 and be willing and able to be at Yolo County Fair Grounds on Oct. 5 by 7 a.m. (we'll have coffee and doughnuts to fuel you!) and attend one of the two training sessions listed below.

Training sessions

Where:
Yolo County Fairgrounds
1125 East St.
Woodland CA 95776

When:
Friday, Oct. 3, 6-7:30 p.m. or
Saturday, Oct. 4, 4-5:30 p.m.

If you'd like to help, please come to one of the above training sessions. If you have questions, please contact the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation office at 800-253-6530 and ask for Randy Shrimplin or Pat Seacord.

If you've already been contacted by our volunteer coordinator and responded, please accept our sincere thanks for donating your time and energy to help the kids.
